Our History

We were born with a legacy whose origins are rooted in the beginnings of modern-day industry yet which, at the same time, echoes the remote traditions of a people who dressed themselves in textiles made from the finest yarns bestowed on them by the gods.

Perhaps it was in 1979, after 20 years of successful experience in yarn manufacture and overseas trading, that the GRUPO INCA decided to embark on the production of alpaca fabrics and knitted garments.  The evolution of these activities led eventually to the birth of  INCALPACA TPX S.A. in 1996.

We have enjoyed continuous growth as a result of the orchestrated efforts of our employees and shareholders in combination with the contributions of technology and creativity, of the Andean people and the natural surroundings.  All this has been achieved through genuine hard work within a framework of respect and responsibility.  Our five product lines, which enjoy prestigious positions in the home and international markets, are: Fabrics; Knitted Goods; Accessories; Outerwear; and Articles for the Home.  These are sold under many renowned names in the world of fashion and particularly under our own trademarks TUMI, CÓNDOR and at our retail outlet chain, KUNA.
